Okay people, read the title, “H-E-A-L-T-H-Y.” Don’t go complainin’ when they don’t taste like unhealthy cookies. Truth be told, they are not my favorite. But the fact that my kids LOVED them means that I will be making these again. And who can beat TWO ingredients? Here is where you can find the original recipe with lots of professional photos:
HEALTHY COOKIES from SKINNYTASTE
Now on to my un-professional notes and photos. 🙂
The ingredients of the original cookie are the following:
- 2 RIPE bananas, mashed
- 1 cup of quick oats
Things I would suggest adding after making them:
- nuts
- chocolate chips
- peanut butter chips
You just mix them together and spoon them onto a cookie sheet (and don’t forget to grease the cookie sheet like me). I fit them all on the same pan. You bake them at 350 F for 12-15 minutes.
And my kids ate them up. How can you beat bananas and oats as a snack? As the website says, you can serve them for breakfast, in a lunch, anytime. There is no added sugar! If I can get away with my kids being excited about cookies just by using the word and shape, I am a happy momma.
i bet some added plain peanut butter would be good too 🙂

Yes! You can buy Quaker Instant Oats almost anywhere. Kelsey has found whole oats in a specialty store. They love their Avena here!
